Just Rannin' Around

I just want to say that I am still alive…

I looked at the last time that I published a blog and thoroughly reprimanded myself. My schedule these days seems to fill up to the overflowing point. It is good for me though because it keeps my mind and worries off things which I have no control.

I spent this last Monday night with a family that I have been getting to know. They are currently in the midst of planning a trip to Ireland to pick up their son from his mission and I was invited over to Family Home Evening to help them plan. It is such an amazing feeling to be in a home with a family. I love it and I never realize just how much I miss it until I am spending quality time with a family. It makes me miss mine a ton and also leaves a little yearning in my heart.

We ate dinner, planned the trip and then I sat and had an insightful gospel conversation with the parents. I am such a nerd when it comes to this, because I adore sitting and talking about deep subjects with people. I love learning, especially though others examples and knowledge. The spirit was strong and my testimony was strengthened. It was a night that was much needed. Once again I was shown tender mercies from a loving Father in Heaven that watches over me in every aspect of my life.

Thanks to a few of my blogging friends, I have been entertaining myself a little on the net while it is painfully slow at work. The two that have been the most recent and which I have enjoyed the most:

http://www.usatoday.com/news/politics/election2008/candidate-match-game.htm This was taken from Brett and Erin’s blog. On this one I found no surprises, but it was interesting to see the candidates rise and fall according to how I felt about certain issues. P.S. Remember to Vote today!

http://www.blogthings.com/whatsyourpersonalitytypequiz This was taken from HollyOak’s blog. I will share the results from what it said about me after answering a few simple questions:

The Giver

You strive to maintain harmony in relationships, and usually succeed.
Articulate and enthusiastic, you are good at making personal connections.
Sometimes you idealize relationships too much – and end up being let down.
You find the most energy and comfort in social situations ... where you shine.

In love, you are very protective and supporting.
However, you do need to “feel special” – and it’s quite easy for you to get jealous.

At work, you are a natural leader.
You can help people discover their greatest potential.
You would make a good writer, human resources director, or psychologist.

How you see yourself: Trusting, idealistic, and expressive.

When other people don’t get you, they see you as: Bossy, inappropriate, and loud.

After doing another of these online quizzes, I discovered that I am a Grilled Cheese Sandwich. My best friend should be a Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich and I should avoid Ham Sandwiches for all cost.

Work really needs to pick up!
