Just Rannin' Around

"Sometimes I feel like there's a hole inside of me, an emptiness that at times seems to burn.  I think if you lifted my heart to your ear, you could probably hear the ocean.  I have this dream of being whole.  Of not going to sleep each night, wanting.  But still sometimes, when the wind is warm or the crickets sing . . . I dream of a love that even time will lie down and be still for.  I just want someone to love me.  I want to be seen.  I don't know.  Maybe I had my happiness."

"It is better to travel with hope in one's heart than to arrive in safety."

Is anyone going to Mexico anytime soon?

As I was baking, I sadly discovered that I am almost out of vanilla.  I will admit that I am spoiled (and possibly a bit high-maintenance) when it comes to baking vanilla.  What can I say?  Not any old vanilla will do.  Mexican vanilla has an aroma and taste that just can't be beat.  I have tried to find another brand that I like just as well, but nothing else even comes even near comparison.  The problem is that one can only obtain Mexican vanilla by visiting Mexico and bringing it back . . . nope not even on the internet.

So anyone going to Mexico anytime soon?  I would be oh so grateful.

“Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.”

After nine years of being in the same place, we are moving locations at work this weekend.  I am actually really excited for the move.  I like the layout of the new office better than the one we currently occupy.  I like the location (even though it is not even a full block away) better mostly due to the fact that we will be much more visible and much easier to give directions.

The slight downside is that we have to pack up or throw out everything that has accumulated over the last nine years.  I have been slowly going through drawers these last couple of days.  It is amazing the things that I have “collected” and stored.  A small list of things I found include a stash of miniature Mr. Goodbars, Hello Kitty stickers, a Happy Birthday sign, a tiara (don’t ask), and eight boxes of crayons all missing the exact same color.  All I have to say is interesting day.

I threw the boxes of crayons away because really they just weren’t complete without that one color and a picture would never be complete without it.

At least I know that I will be getting a great workout this weekend moving everything as we are in charge of our own offices and then I am also in charge of the kitchen and the back supply room.

I really like new toys.

Last night I was able to get my latest one put together.  Now I can cross-train AND I am able to use my new bike more than just when the weather permits.  I am super excited to be able to not only run in the comfort of my home, but bike.  I guess I should really start working on that since I will be biking 60-miles at once in the next little while.  Now my workout/library looks like this . . . .

Thanks Russ (and Emily for making him) for coming over last night and getting the bike hooked up!
